Subject: Bonded elevators must report stocks regularly

Bonded Elevators must report stocks on hand regularly.. that's why the off farm stocks number are much more detailed while the On Farm are broad brush strokes.. 1,000's of bushels vs Off Farm at 1,545'ish for example.. On Farm are rounded guesses.. (which maybe there's more?!? but as everyone reports basis levels don't show it..)

So.. Off Farm are more accurate.. On Farm...???  (could even be less also...??

Every month when I worked at the elevator I summed the amount brought in and the amount shipped.. totaled.. took times 0.005% and wrote off for shrink.. from Company Owned.. (btw where is SHRINK in USDA's stocks numbers?) and reported our Total Bushels.. Bushels in Open Storage, Ware house Receipts etc.. for Each Grain in house.

.. Every month.
