This is a synopsis of a Tweet I saw but can't get a link:
Historically, from November thru Feb, a higher total of GDU's in this time frame has been prior to a poor crop. For example, 1988 had 81, 2012 had 74. 2014 had 17, 2015 had 6. This winter, 92 have accumulated.
