I won't argue with your statement. In my little area in mid-south Iroquois, if I remember correctly, 09, 10, 11 the rain stopped in my area by the first of July. Lots of 120 bpa corn and less in those years. 12 was a plain disaster. 87 bushel corn for me. 13 finally got a respectable crop but not great. 14 was a great year for this area. In 15, I saw lantern road, aka, miracle mile falter like I have never seen. Very little corn broke 140 here on average this year.
We haven't had a great crop since 2008. Those years you mention and 2013 rains just shut off in July. You would swear we live in a meteorological oddity. We had way too much rain in May of 14. Killed us up front. The 7 years APH 2009 and before is 165 after is 125 for the last 7. |
