Ridgway, IL | The futures are just following cash, it has nothing to do with a chart. Early last week some premium was built into the market based on weather and where bids and offers lined up. Cash didn't trade quite as high as expected, so the futures sold off a couple bucks.
No big deal, packers are in no better position for next week, or subsequent weeks... So the situation is still right for cash to tick up a couple bucks. Stronger exports, week imports, declining Carcass weights, deteriorating lot conditions, tighter short term s and d.
the market most likely goes higher from here in my opinion. | |
