If you or Mom aren't comfortable marketing, and are worrying about hitting decent prices (you said you check prices periodically when you have time), I'd just cash rent it out.
One of my landlords switched from 50/50 share rent to cash, because he didn't want to burden his wife with marketing, and I understand where he was coming from. He was REALLY good at marketing, but his wife had no interest in it.
I have on farm storage for most of our crop, but if anything happens to me, I would rather the wife just cash rent the farm and not have the headaches. | |
