nw NC | See them here about the first of June each year. Below is a picture made 5-31-14 of termites swarming from a large half-rotten white oak log that has been on the ground for ten years or more. Saw them again this year. Quite a sight to see them take to the wind. Had to have been hundreds of thousands of them. Picture shows only a small portion of them.
