Morris, IL
I guess i was more after using it before soybeans or would that be overkill with authority, classic, 24-d and 22-32 oz of powermax? Week plus before planting?

We used a product called "Volunteer" by Tenkoz at 4oz this year in our post soybeans, killed 2-3' corn but it took forever. But even 8oz ahead of soybeans would only cost $2.5? With soybeans i don't really care if it dies the next day as long as it dies.

I've somewhat decided to plant soybeans after Rye and something that winter kills before corn, i'm too worried about tie up of Nitrogen before corn. I'm going to plant some oats and radishes in next few days in a wheat field just to see what happens. Going to strip till before it gets too tall and let it do what it's going to do.

That said, what Chad did seems like decent way to go if your planting into Rye, lot of UAN at planting and then sidedress, seems some would get tied up and be natural stabilizer, maybe.
