Subject: RE: Intensely-managed oats what variety do you plant.

We mainly plant Oats as a cover crop but we try and grow 30-40 acres every year for seed for the next year. The seed oats are irrigated and they fall down every year! Dont know if it is high plant population or fertility problem? We go in with 75 units of N fertigated through the irrigation.

Any ideas? We are located in South Georgia and plant in November to Harvest in May.
