W.C. Mo. | Around here we can get heavy rains during sb planting period. Green rye will suck the moisture from the soil but dead rye will act as a blanket and the ground will not dry till August.
Edit--I should clarify that the above is true IF it does not rain every other day for 60 days. 30+"
The one redeaming factor in this instance is the heavy runoff from my rye covered fields is completely clear.
