Only thing i can think of is it could be killing more beneficial bugs and fungi then bad ones. I'm kind of in the same ballpark, never seen much from fungicide/insecticide on corn or soybeans, i don't have anything against it besides. We have tried with a ground rig, helicopter, and plane, saw little bit from an old pioneer number but not much, 3-4$ corn makes the decision to not spray very easy.
