Late, late, late(r) plant beans. Any insight?

Had to replant this week, not a whole lot but one entire 20 acre bottom and then some scattered acres.  My seed guy brought me 4.8's, when I had planted 4.3 and 4.4's on the same spots.  He said the longest you can push them and beat the frost, the better off you will be 95% of the time.  I normally plant beans in the 125-140 range, I put these in at 175.  Different strokes for different folks (and areas I guess.)
