North of London | Ah yes, the floppies.
Think the first box of floppies I bought cost close to $100 for 10.
Wife was doing some correspondence courses and we used a word processor of some kind to input and print her essays.
This required a dictionary floppy disk to be inserted to run the spell check and 2 disks to cover enough words plus we started to create a third disk for some of the technical terms she was using.
Then you had to go back through and 'fix' all the highlighted 'mistakes'.
You are taking me back there.
First computer I saw at B-i-L was 4k if I remember and tape deck.
First we bought was 48k and we had fro wait for them to get enough chips to upgrade it from the 16k models on the shelf.
Top of the line and then we upgraded to 64 as high as we could on that Apple II plus | |
