Last 3 years have had 3-4 inch downpours before sidedress time. Even when lightly incorporated you could visually watch the esn lift up and float to the edge of the pond or into the ditch. We are talking distances of hundred of feet. The main problem is the rains we were getting were before side dress time were the ones doing the most damage. So yes anything sidedressed had much better results. Gman yes was lightly incorporated and yes there are costs with sidedressing. On our sand soils I believe best bang for the buck is sidedressing

btw are you near a large Turkey operation down there in lasalle? Some nice dirt through that area might work better there.
