How many acres of mapping can be stored on a 32GB iPad tablet?
Approximately 3,000 acres of planting and harvest data will occupy around 12-15GB of space. o One year of planting requires 3MB of space per acre, and 2MB will be required per harvested acre.
Also to anyone that has done the Precision Acre program that you get the equipment for $X/year for X years and in return you stream your data to their cloud, do you absolutely have to have an iPad with a data plan or can you just take the iPad inside with you at night, connect to wifi and push it to the cloud once a day? It would save on having a data plan and monsanto's still getting what they want........
