mid Illinois | Fred's in about the same boat as we are to the east of him. I was just thinking "how come if there is a drought anywhere, we always are in that area! ". Lol. We had .5" early June, then 2 - .2" rains, plus a whole .3" yesterday. Good thing its been cool, or the crop would look like 2012 already. Much of Christian county has caught every rain, from from hearing them tell it, yields start at 250 and go up from there. Lol. The worst part of having relatives living in Christian county is having to listen to them every single summer for the last 40 years say "you mean you didnt get any rain?!? We got another big rain again!!!" They think 190 bushel corn is a crop failure. | |
