Central ks | Yea a few guys have done that in the last few yrs our problem is we don't have enough pasture for them during the summer. Some guys have said they can dry lot them for the summer cheaper then paying pasture rent. We just haven't tried it. I kinda like to buy calves except for last year, but it turned out ok since they keep going up. But run them on rye from October to March then harvest the rye for seed. Another thought I would like to try is run calves on what pasture we do have for the summer seems like it could be profitable. | |
