I must be a neighbor....

I've played with the radish a time or two, mostly I plant a few acres of turnip for the cattle to graze. Very similar plants, radish go deeper, turnip turn into a ball at the surface.

Tillage, they do rot down in spring, one pass and there won't be anything remaining. So fall tillage depends more on what you normally do.

Wonder if a little oats or something else be cheap and a good mix. The radish might not like the real wet bottom bits of field, give so etching else there to grow, and a grass mix with the radish the rest of the way?

The turnips sure get big on the edge next to corn field, where they get into the N, they sure seem to suck up nutrients as advertised.
