so the power losses due to inefficient friction drives, like used on rubber tracks, magicly goes away when you put it in dirt??? learn something every day!
How is a tire mounted to a rim Einstein? A "friction drive" track is not at all like a v-belt. Extreme friction between the belt and the drive wheel keep the track locked to the drive wheel 99.9% of the time, just like extreme friction between a tire and a rim keeps the tire locked to the rim 99.9% of the time. |
