i chose that as an example because its the best comparison of tracks versus tires with all else being virtually identical. compareing a 4wd of one color to a single track machine contains millions of variables. on the exact same machine rubber tracks will put less power to the ground than tires because of friction losses. period. think of it this way, that track is essentialy driven like a v-belt. v-belts do not transmit 100 percent of the input power to the output. a tire is a circle which is much like a gear, putting out what it receives. unless the tire is slipping on the rim. and if thats the case someone is too stupid to run a tire guage and should get a track tractor.
