Maryland
I have a 1999 MX270 and have had no major problems. Uptime it every year. Still looks and runs like new. Had the 10 year extended warranty. No electrical problems that everyone was worried about. No fuel pump problems and no oil pan leaks. Been a great tractor. I think the thing to do is look at the service history of this tractor. You can tell a lot about the future of a tractor by looking at its past. As far as comparing it to the older magnums. It has the same engine, different fuel system. If you are worried about that, look at one of the mechanical pump magnums and turn it up. The cabs are night and day difference. Lots of room. Also weighs a lot more, which is why I bought mine. Couldn't get enough weight on the 7140 to get its horsepower on the ground. It has nice road speed. As far as comparing it to the newer magnums, the new ones are a much better all around tractor but you are going to pay a lot more.
