S.E. Sask. | That magnetic recording tape is a thin weak link to my family history. Recorded in my grandfather's house on a winter evening in 1955. I was lucky to get a copy of the full length (over an hour) recording from my uncles for myself. Figured digitizing it was a good way to retain what quality it has but who knows. In another 50 years will we still be able to play cds? MP3s? They will likely be as outdated as magnetic recording tape is today. Will anybody care? | |
