Central Illinois | I hesitate to reply we recieved an inch of rain Friday and noticed that some of the plants that were barely standing up now have enough roots to make them stable. We were watering our sweet corn the day before it rained with a garden hose. When the rain came the wind knocked down some of the sweet corn that did not have water put on it. The corn that was watered a day or two before was not effected. So I would say the roots will grow rapidly when moisture gets in the ground. | |
