Why? Why not offer me the ability to expand the onboard storage so I don't have to limit?? The phone (any phone, not just an iPhone) exists to enhance my life. It should get out of the way as much as is technologically possible, and expanding storage capacity is certainly technologically possible. (So is including industry-standard connectors, BTW.) And before you get excited listing ways that Android (or pick your favorite non-iOS flavor) falls short, I readily admit that it does. There is no "perfect" device. But for a device that is clearly highly-regarded by its manufacturer (and, to be fair, by a large group of consumers), the iPhone sure leaves a lot to be desired.
