NSW, Australia | I would suggest running task manager and seeing how much installed memory you have access too. Sometimes video display adapters can use system memory (when they are on motherboard). So when you say you have 1gb, the video card may actually be using some of this memory (limiting software and system access to RAM). Again as as has been suggested, the more RAM the better.

Not knowing much about APEX, the only other way to speed it up would be to get 2nd hdd in computer and have MSSQL running its db on that hdd. Also someone suggested a solid state disk. This would be another increase in seek, read/write transfers. | |
