Redwood Falls, MN | I would try RAM first. It's cheap and 1GB is not much for dealing with a program like Apex. I have 4GB of RAM in my office computer. Apex runs easily. Your laptop probably came with two 512 sticks and only has two slots. You need to throw them and put two larger sticks it. On the chance that you have a single 1GB stick in you could buy one more 1GB but it should match what you have. RAM is cheap! Put 4GB in if your laptop can handle it.
Just because you have a lot of data stored doesn't mean you're handling it all at once. You only handle what you have open.
