If you know for certain it’s just low on Freon that’s fine. Maybe 10% of the time when I hook gauges up the pressures don’t jive which generally speaking indicates blocked condenser/evaporator or expansion valve problems. Wouldn’t catch that without gauges and little experience with AC systems.
