| A colleague did a crop tour from STL to Decatur today. One of his comments was that he estimates 50% of the corn on his stops was tasseling at 5'10" or less.
I have read studies that short corn at pollination has NO effect on yield. I believe one recent paper on this was put out by the U of I. I am interested in opinions in this regard.
IF this is in fact true, are we setting up for yields to out perform crop ratings? There is a lot of short corn in Il IN and OH
