North Central Montana | 24 hours ago I had a bilateral carpal release surgery. This is a surgery that I knew was coming for the last three years. This past harvest the pain became quite severe and since harvest my fingers have been numb with less pain.
I decided to have both done at once since being down for six weeks sounded better than being down for eight weeks.
Pain level this morning is tolerable. Before the surgery, I was really unaware of how much muscle you use in your thumb. At this point pushing the home button On the iPad is more than I want to do with my thumb. Using fingertips is not too bad.
I'm sure there's lots of other farmers out there who will be going through this and have questions like I did. I'll keep posting on my recovery so people can get an idea of what they might expect. | |
