In the years past, I have been using a qt of cheated zinc mixed with my starter fertilizer in furrow. This year to cut costs, I'm considering cutting out the starter but I would still like to apply zinc, but just mixed with water. Liquid zinc sulfate is less than half the cost of chelated zinc. Would the zinc sulfate perform as well as the chelated in this situation?
