Subject: Fencing corn stalks

The Green Hills of Missouri
Had non gmo corn fall over bad, so I want to put up a single hot wire for a boundary fence. I am going to use T post to support the wire. Total distance about 3/4 mile. My questions are, at what height should the wire be and how far apart would you set posts? The back side of this field can be a high deer traffic area, so I expect problems from them.

Does anyone remember the florescent bulb attached to the wire somehow that will flash to show the fence is hot? Remember how that was done? I would put fencer on the back end by woods and the Florence bulb by the road so I can see it. Would save me time and four wheeler time if it works. Thanks for the help.
