Subject: high moisture corn

southern middle tennessee
We feed a corn based ration when backgrounding calfs. Would high moisture corn help our gains? What are the advantage of it and what needs to be done to keep it "high moisture". so lets say we shell it at 18% and put it in a bin and keep a fan on it it will become 14% corn in a couple of weeks. This means its no longer high moisture corn correct? Really just asking how to keep high moisture corn? what percent moisture is best for gains?
