SE MN | Picking corn 23-27%, keeping the machine between 2500-3000bph. 3.5-4 mph with a 12-30 head. Been in 170-220 bu corn, I dont feel that we are pushing the limits on this machine. Maybe i'm wrong. About to the end of our patience trying to clean up the grain. We have tried about every combo of concave setting and rotor speed to try and keep from destroying the cobs in the rotor. When I lift the chopper and go a few hundred feet I really struggle to find a complete cob, when checking whats coming out of this thing. I have adjusted the manual sieve ext. Trouble gets worse when friends with IH Flagship combines tell me they are having 0 trouble with performance in wet corn. | |
