Subject: feeding out your own calves

Could some one run the numbers on feeding out your own beef calves from a cow calf enterprise? What would the profit per head be in a typical year? Using the garvo formula 100 x price of corn $3.30 + $100=$430 ...... using that formula I'd need to know what it cost to care for the cow all year. $2000 fat - $430 = $1570 to feed the cow and profit......even $2/day cow care would leave over $700 profit......Yes? no? Just throughing numbers around don't know how accurate they are......???
