| This is ONLY MY opinion.. and "I could be wrong" but a quick poll at the coffee shop..
On my farm I expect to lower wheat acreage by about 18%.. which seems to be in line with what others are saying.. some.."not so much" some "more."
At 9 myn more or less planted acres.. a myn acre drop is only 11% in Kansas.
Furthermore, I suspect that RECORD BEEF PRICES will shift harvested wheat acres to graze out in Oklahoma and Texas.. for about .. 7..8.. 10% more acres there..
Thus.. A myn in Kansas and 0.5 in Tx and Oklahoma seem pretty reasonable to us. 1.5 myn. "could be more." |
