Bartlett TX | I just got my new dell laptop that i will be using to replace my old vista desktop machine. It will mostly be used for deere apex, microsoft office, internet, etc. This laptop came with Windows 7, but also has the windows 8.1 license and media on a DVD. Should i leave this as a windows 7 machine or go ahead and install the 8.1? On my old machine, i never even bothered with any virus protection software of any kind, but i think i need to be more proactive with this new machine. What is the consensus on what is best overall virus protection software? This dell didnt come loaded up with a lot of bloatware, but i remember someone talking about PC decrapifier to remove unwanted programs, is that something i should do?
