Subject: Deere 7000 drive chain

Iowa
The neighbor and I own a J.D. 7000 4 row together. Used primarily for sweet corn, but does get used for areas that the big planters messed up, wet holes and plots. There are other neighbors that borrow it as well. The problem is the drive chain that goes to the wheel. We take it off going down the road, but it seems like every time someone uses it, the idler pulley's and spring get messed up. Can I put a (not sure what you call it) "contact wheel" drive system on it. If so does Deere make a kit that will go on the 7000. Thanks!
