Subject: Drawbar horsepower tracks vs. wheels

East Central Indiana
Those of you that have experience with wheeled and track machines shed some light for me.
No real reason for these questions, just wondering.

Say you have two tractors with identical drawbar HP and one tractor has a track setup like a challenger MT and one has healthy sized front and rear duals.
In a tillage situation how much advantage does the track machine have? Although they have identical HP (let's say 250 HP) do the tracks actually make that machine pulled like a higher HP wheeled machine?

Of course the downfalls of track machines are belt wear from roading and idler troubles. But when it comes to tillage work are you getting more horsepower for your money?
