Manitoba | In process of repairing wheel hydraulic motor leak on 98 2100. Got the motor off by disconnecting the hyd lines and 2 bolts holding it on. Left the torque hub as it has not been leaking.
The seal kits i had on hand (hagie part 610608) i am not 100% sure are the right ones. Anyone know if this kit is correct one? The kit has no o ring the size that fits around the wheel motor flange that seals up against the torque hub (see pic) although maybe thats a separate item. And kit has a bunch of extra parts parts i dont know use for but assuming if doing a complete tear down they may be for components inside the motor.
After disassembling I am a bit confused as to how i was leaking hyd oil but not gear oil from the planetary hub. Seems like if one was leaking the other would be too? But oil i was leaking was not gear oil. Anyone able to explain that to me? It looks to me as if there is no way that hyd oil could leak past the large seal under the snap ring in 2nd pic without filling up the planetary hub? But i did not have that occurring. It did not appear that any hyd pipe / hoses connections were leaking and i am kind of stumped as to how hyd oil was getting out.
Havnt gone further re seal removal yet and wont be able to till tomorrow so thought i would repost status here just to see if anyone able to clear up any of my questions.
Any info advice is appreciated, thank you
Martin
