We've had an excellent working desktop for a few years now. Not sure...10? Running Win10. But yesterday for no reason at all, the monitor screen went black. We had just logged on to the weather site. Nothing spectacular. I tried all the escape key things, Ctl-Alt-Del thing....nothing worked. Computer activity light was flashing, but screen was black, though the power light was on. Checked all cables behind the computer. All tight and nothing has been added or disturbed as far as cabling.

So, did a restart & all was good.....after the 10 minutes of updates. But anyway, back to normal running...until tonight. We were watching a short mp4 video & BAM.....just like that, screen black again. Also there was no more audio, which comes out of separate speaker system, not the screen. Again, no response from keyboard escapes etc. So, reboot & all is good again.

So, any suggestions on what is failing in the computer? Video card, or driver?
