East Central Ia | Anyone have experience with these two tractors?
The lease is up on our MT775E this winter and we need to decide if we want to buy it, or possibly lease/purchase something else.
We ran a new MT740 this past week and there are a couple things we didn’t necessarily care for, a very nice tractor but we didn’t love it.
Our local Case dealer is building a new store about 1 mile from our farm so we want to see if they have something to compete with our 775E. We were 100% Case IH about 10 years ago but have drifted more towards the Challengers since then.
Will need to pull our DB60 planter and 7300gal Houle manure tank in rolling hills.
The 400hp 775E is currently a good fit power wise.
How do the Rowtracs pull compared to the Challengers?
Would be looking at a Magnum 380 if we want the CVT, or the 400 if we choose more hp but the 400 is only available with power shift transmission.
These will be 21’ model AFS Connect Magnums.
Going to run a 340CVT wheel machine to try the CVT and a 340 Rowtrac to try the tracks in the next few days.
