western iowa,by Denison | A few off hours so we put up the mono-slope rafters-we worked Wed afternoon with just us 3 and did 1/3rd of the rafters-Thursday afternoon we got the rest of the rafters up-Today Adam and myself put bracing in and bolted a lot of posts and 2x12's-hopeful to start putting the purlins down tomorrow-think its 23 rows at 2 ft on center-building is 36x160 with a 3-12 pitch and overhangs making it a 42ft roof
We use 2x12's under the rafters-they get kinda heavy holding up 24ft ones why Adam puts couple screws in-to hold them-goes fast-then we come back and bolt 2- 12 inch bolts thru both 2x12's on the posts-My lumber yard had the post's ordered -but they were not glue lam-ever once in a while I hit a nail-as there nail lams-only broke 3 bits so far-right at around 500 1/2inch bolts so far
