SE Iowa | Since switching genetics from Monsanto to Syngenta genetics a few years back have they gotten better hybrids? I tried them about five years ago and was not pleased with the low test weight and ugly color of grain coming out of the combine. Volume was there but the low test weight really hurt the yield. Don't remember what number it was but they now have all new stuff and the local dealer has some pretty impressive prices. What numbers should I look at (or not) in the 110-115 day maturity. I plant quite a bit of conventional on cob acres and traited on coc acres and use no insecticide on either. Been getting along great with smartstax on coc. | |
