Subject: anyone ever heard BMR seed is more resistant to wireworm damage than regular sorghum seed?

nc ks
I had a seed rep tell me that he had a guy tell him a few years ago that after they switched to a bmr silage they quit putting insecticide on the seed because the false wireworms weren't harming it. Seed rep said he just took it with a grain of salt at the time. A few days ago we were looking at a split planter side by side of regular silage and bmr silage. Regular had a 2/3 stand and the BMR was very thick. Neither was insecticide treated. Regular silage seed lot has been good on other customers farms. Seeding rate was a couple pounds above normal recommendation. Only thing I can come up with is wireworm damage. Silage is 8' tall now so hard to tell. Thoughts?
