It was published in 2002. Many of the discussion topics regarding the concentration of packers are similar to today, though for different food security reasons. I like how cordial the discussion was, it seems like now if people disagree they just go for each-others throats.


I remember as a kid, My mother wouldn’t allow us to eat at jack in the box because of the ecoli outbreak at the time It would sure seem to me, that we have fewer cases of food born illness now as modern meat packing continues to evolve.
