Subject: Case/IH Steiger 450 steering sensitivity

Riceville, IA

Have a new to me 450 hd steiger. The steering sensitivity is very herky jerky with just the slightest of steering wheel movement. Don't ask me how I know but a Deere 9630 4 wheel drive articulated tractor that I drove this spring steered very smooth. Dealership said there isn't anything that can be done to smooth it out or soften its sensitivity. Has anyone else experienced the same thing and done anything to help it? I am considering puting a hydrolic flow control valve on to regulate flow to power steering motor and wondering if this would help? Any feedback appreciated.
