Effingham, IL | I just heard an interesting tidbit. The total US corn crop is around 10.8 billion bu. Multiplied by $3.50 per bu equals 37.8 billion dollars. That means Bill Gates' net worth could buy around two years of total US corn production! That comparison blows my mind, do you realize how big that pile of corn would be? I'm glad he's not my neighbor. What would he pay for land or cash rents? Can you imagine his line of farm machinery? Craig | |
