North of London | Caterpillars to be specific.
I have been seeing these little guys regularly since last fall.
First ones I started noticing I thought they were just a little slow spinning a cocoon but then I kept seeing one here and there and the first picture was taken mid January when I found it crawling slowly across the cement pad.
Have continued to find them in various places and when ever it warms a little they move a little and in the pic of it curled up it did that when I disturbed it to try to take the picture. i know I could take you to at least 3 that have been slowly moving in their locations for many weeks.
Anyone know what they are I was surprised to think they could survive in that state and not spin a cocoon for the winter.
The last picture is an unknown 'miller'?? that I spotted 2 days ago not unusual to find millers at this time of year as we often find them in sap pails while making syrup in March.
