| Well, got my new to me MF 5455 with Dyna 4 transmission delivered yesterday. Really nice tractor with 1092 hours and literally looks almost new but I did notice a few things. Max speed maxes out at 33 KM per hour or about 20 mph. Standard rated speed is 40 KM or 25 MPH. After doing some investigating it appears the the transmission controller in some tractors were set up for this slow speed. Is this something that can be changed either through some settings or possibly through a dealer with programming? If it involves buying a new controller I will just live with it. in addition the steering has a small issue in that the steering wheel needs to ever so slightlly constantly turning to the left when driving to keep tractor steering straight. it is very slight but noticeable especially when traveling on the road. Could this be a steering cylinder issue or possibly an issue with the steering motor. I am guessing it is hydrostatic steering and has an orbital type control. Any feedback or experiences would be deeply appreciated. |
