Subject: Question about 8345RT/8360RT tractor

East Helena Montana
I currently have a New Holland/Versatile 9482 articulated tractor that is factory set at 310 horse, I bought the tractor used and previous owner stated the pump was reset to have tractor at 350 but I have no way to verify that. I currently have a John Deere 1820 drill that is 53 feet and 1910 cart with 340 bushel tow behind cart. My tractor pulls it but not as well as I had planned it to and slips at times which I might be able to be fixed with weight but it also struggles with power at times too.

I have been interested in track tractors for a while and I wonder if I would be happy with 8345RT or 8360RT track tractor? I know a 9030T series would pull it but that would 425 plus horse which would pull it but might be a little over kill and also they tend to be a lot more money. I read online people saying how two track machines pull so much better then similar wheeled tractors. There are none really around here to try out at all and at this point I am just researching info.

What are your thoughts for those of you who run 8345RT/8360RT and replaced wheeled or articulated tractors?

Jeff
