Subject: Angus jersey cross for brood cows?

SC Wisconsin
Talked to a guy who has some pairs he is selling. Cows are 2 years old, their calves were born june through july of this year. The cows are half jersey half angus, their calves are out of an Angus so i guess you could say they are 3/4 angus and 1/4 jersey. Would these make decent brood cows? I would think they would milk well, but might not hold condition as well as a normal beef cow through the winter. I have plenty of feed but they wont get to be in a building this winter, bedded windbreaks and trees is it for now. I had him send me some pictures, ill attach them if my phone will let me. You can see some jersey influence in the cows yet for sure but not really on the calves. He told me they had no issues calving and have been all vaccinated. Those 5 calves pictured are all heifers and would most likely be retained for breeding if they develop ok. What do you guys think?
